Bob B's 1970 Pontiac Atoll

Bob B called Coybilt one day asking if we could give his 1970 GTO convertible a higher end driver quality cosmetic restoration. At Coybilt we dont always have to do full restorations but rather a restoration similar to what Bob had in mind. We started out with a fairly solid car which helps dramatically, then we stripped the car to bare metal and started the body and paint process. Some rust was found and repaired, then hours of hammer dolly work and block sanding ensued to make sure the body was straight enough for the paint job it was going to receive.

Bob picked 1970 Pontiac Atoll blue for his choice of top coat, followed by 4 coats of clear.
The top was then reupholstered with the factory correct viynl and glass back window. The front windshield was replace while the original stainless was restored and will be reinstalled. The gauges, seats and dash pad were sent out and restored to factory original specs. The car will now be put back together with the restored components by at Coybilt. The before and after pictures really speak volumes about what we can do even on a driver.
